The Red Light District
Whatup e'rybody, this is your host, Dπ, just checking in to let you know that I am hard at work preparing a fresh batch of fire for October 1st.
"October 1st?", you may ask. Why yes, October 1st, the date of the "Red Light District", the next show displaying the visual alchemy of yours truly. It should be a delightfully sordid event. You didn't hear it here, but live nude girls may be there. Keep an eye/ear out; If you're meant to be there you will get an invitation.
For those less fortunate I will have some flix of the whole damn thing, fresh after the event... till then enjoy this Jpeg of one of the pieces.

Hot fun in the summer time pt2.
That's right!
Summer IS just about over, and here in NY it's gonna get brick(cold) very soon. But it's still hot at the D-pi blog!!!
If you missed the shows, here are some flicks for you.
Sound of Art: Tribecca
This was the jump off for those of you who didn't know. SOA artists showed in force. True underground art on display in a tucked away tribecca penthouse.
all of13x13 was on display once again...
as well as a few pieces I remixed like Bussin caps
and art cannon
we're doomed to repeat it!!! (pt.02)
Ok so here's another previous post from the now defunct news section of D-pi.com
...why why, do I love Paris. Man! I don't care what the naysayers say. Paris is FIRE! even in the winter. THIS is a cool place, man!
Why do you think french fries and hamburgers(the american standard) go so well together. Paris is what's up. Let's squash this whole beef and party like it's 1789! (..?)
Captains log 14 19 05:
My first visit to Paris was overcast, but ripe with experience.
A young Eugene Bullard?
I was told I could make allot of C.R.E.A.M. here. ..?
did the cliché thing... you bet! When in Montmartre...
we're doomed to repeat it!!! (pt.01)
Ok so here's a flashback to D-pi.com news of the past.
Some history for those who are new to the game, so act like you know.
First lets take it back to last winter. I was in J-peazy chillin' in harajuku and hanging out with Akira Yamaguchi (hollar at your boy, homie, you know the #). Here are the details:
Captain's Log 0105:
Hey I just got back from another wooorld...
Yep. Just got back from Nippon folks. It was a many fasceted journey as usual.
While I was gone, Metal Hurlant #14 finally dropped. Which I'm excited about, The colorist- whos name I dont even know, "hollar homie!"- did a great job. I had a blast.
This time I actually made it to Kyoto. The first stop was Gion...
It was fresh. Got to see lots of cool things. I even saw some Geisha running around in the back alleys, they were so fast all of my flix came out blurry.
I scheduled a tour of the old Imperial Palace the next day, but got there late cuz I was looking for tyrkey bacon, so I had to jump over the gate.
That place was really cool.
Back in Gion, went to hang out and have Yakitori and Yebisu. Some Giant Santa Clause had beef with me or something so we tussled. He totally kicked my ass...
I "LOST" my sketch book in Rapongi Hills. I'm almost 100% this crafty woman snaked it from my bookbag. however, if you're Japanese and you have my book, please return it. The addy's in the inside. You will be handsomely rewarded.
So aside from that calamity, the trip was great and fruitful.
For all my homies on the eastside, thanks for holding me down.
Lucifer #58 just dropped... check it out! I did pencils and inks.

You mean you missed it!
Aight, don't worry. You missed the summer jump offs but I put some jpegs on the b-log right cheugh (here) for ya, so you won't be too out of the loop.
and there's more coming up this fall.
Summer was busy for yours truly, D π.
Hustling, making ends. Making freshness.
The jump off took place early on, Mocca*con weekend. Me and my man Da(m)n! James put the ink to the page for a rager over at Jigsaw, the FIRST graphic novel lounge in the NYC.
I created a series by the name of "13x13", a series of 13 images, each 13x13cm. The series showcased allot of mythical/literary characters from Yoshitsune to Oothon.
